The role of rural women in education of men and management of shelter homes in communities was highlighted Tuesday in Saurimo, northeastern Lunda Sul province.
The praise came from the head of the provincial department of the Ministry of Family and Women Promotion, Verónica Sapalo.
Veronica Sapalo was speaking during the celebrations of the International Day of Rural Women, October 15, whose main event was held in Gambos town, southern Huila province.
She on the occasion stressed that rural women play an important role in ensuring stability of families, both economically and socially.
Verónica Sapalo said that every effort toward the development of rural women should be turned to the increase of productivity and agricultural production, taking into account central Government policies designed to eradicate hunger and poverty in the communities.
