The eye is one of the important part of the body. When the eye is bad or damaged, then the whole body will indeed be affected. Do you think that you can improve your eye by eating good vegetables? Well, let’s consider some few vegetables in which we can eat to better the eye.

Eating right helps promote the status of our health; however, eating foods that are rich in Vitamin A and C helps to enhance healthy sight.

Vegetables such as spinach, kale, collards, broccoli, tomatoes, bell peppers, pumpkin, strawberries etc. that supplies vitamin nutrients to the body and acts as antioxidants.

Spinach, Kale and Collard greens are rich in Lutein and Zeaxanthin which helps prevent eye sight problems such as macular degeneration and cataracts.

The macular pigment helps to protect the eye by filtering out damaging blue Ultra Violent light from the sun; it protects the visual cells from damage.

Foods such as carrots, tomatoes, bell peppers, strawberries and pumpkins are excellent sources of vitamins A and C and carotenoids (the compounds that gives fruits and vegetables their yellow, orange and red pigments).

Carotenoids help reduce the risk of degenerative eye diseases and help to maintain a long term vision.
